THE X FACTOR LIVE SHOWS – WITH JUST EAT

I WENT TO THE X FACTOR LIVE SHOWS AND IT WAS SO EXCITING… and breath. Oh hi guys so yeah, no biggie (lies – it was totally a biggie) I went to see the live filming of The X Factor on Sunday with my gorgeous friend and photographer extraordinaire Zoe. We were invited by this year sponsors Just Eat and treated to the swanky VIP lounge to enjoy some bubbles and of course some tasty treats before the filming began. Now if you follow my Twitter and Instagram accounts I’m sure some of you have realised that I bloomin’ love myself some X Factor. It’s just great, I love seeing the journey each contestant makes and it always inspires me to take more chances and always follow my dreams. Anyway, before I go into the show and what actually happens behind the scenes, let’s talk food – one of my fave subjects. So before we headed to the studio it just felt necessary to get ready and build up the excitement with a takeaway. It was the weekend after all and what’s a weekend without a click onto the Just Eat website to order some grub – am I right?!…

Organic September with – Wyld Wood Cider

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited down to Westons Cider Mill in Gloucester, to see the harvest process within the beautiful organic orchards of Wyld Wood Organic Cider. Now if you follow me on Instagram (come say hey @littlemisswinney) then you’ll know this cider is one of my faves, so seeing exactly how it’s made and the ethos behind it was really interesting. I went along with a group of other bloggers and creatives to celebrate Organic September and to talk not only to the Wyld Wood team but also to the Soil Association on what ‘organic’ really means. So in a nutshell, organic farming is not only better for the land and for nature in general, it also has huge health benefits for us too. There are so many reasons to choose organic but here are a few I feel really stand out – 1. Fewer pesticides Almost 300 pesticides can routinely be used in non-organic farming. Many of these remain in the food we eat, despite washing and cooking. 2. No artificial colours & preservatives Hydrogenerated fats and controversial artificial food colours & preservatives are all banned by organic standards. 3. Always free range Organic…

The British Takeaway Awards with Just Eat

Hi gang, so today’s post is gonna be a drool fest, you’ve been warned!  The majority of you will know by now that I love my food, however if truth be told I am not keen on the cooking side of things. That’s why I love a good take away! Now obviously I don’t have them every day but there’s something about clicking my way onto Just Eat and ordering my favourite local take out that makes me smile.  I remember when I was little and getting treated every so often to the local Chinese (shout out to Golden Bridge in Humberston – still the best sweet and sour chicken I’ve ever tasted!) I loved those family nights, all ordering our favourite dishes and sitting down together to eat. I guess it’s that memory which still gets me excited whenever I order. Our local takeaways really are the beating hearts of our high streets and what better way to celebrate them than the annual British Takeaway Awards – the BTA’s. The BTA‘s are a celebration of the nation’s best independent restaurants, chefs and delivery drivers. The voting happens across the UK and culminates in a celeb-studded event at The Savoy!…

MY FITNESS CHALLENGE WITH ARLA PROTEIN | PART #3

Happy Wednesday you lovely bunch!  I’m so excited to share this post with you, the final instalment of my fitness challenge with Arla Protein. Its been a tough but a great three months and I can honestly say, I feel great! If you’ve been following my journey you’ll remember that in my first fitness post I divided the months into three sections –  1. MIND – WELL BEING 2. BODY – STAMINA 3. SPIRIT – PROGRESS Months one and two have been and gone and now in my third and final month it’s time to look back and talk about my progress and what I’ll be taking away with me after this crazy health kick. So firstly, my ‘spirit’ as it were is at an all time high. The effect exercise and good nutrition has had on my mood and overall well-being is unreal! I’m happier, more positive and have heaps more energy than before. The mix of classes from hardcore boot camp to outdoor yoga with Our Parks has really helped me add variety to my workout, meaning I enjoy it so much more. Also my one on one sessions with Born has helped with my technique, giving that…
