LIZ EARLE – SKINCARE REVIEW

A few weeks a go I delved back into the world of beauty after having quite a long break and you guys seemed to love it! The Pixi Skintreats review got so much love and it made me so happy! So seen as  beauty seems to be a popular topic I thought I’d get right back to it, this time reviewing one of my all time favourite skincare staples – Liz Earle. Now I’ve been using Liz Earle skincare for ages! Where as Pixi was a fairly recent discovery dear old Lizzy has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. The three step cleanse, tone and moisturise has become part and parcel of my morning routine and one I expect to be doing for the rest of my life. I was first introduced to Liz Earle by my best friends Mum, she got me the ‘try me’ kit for a birthday one year, a kit with miniatures of all the Liz Earle hero products. I tried them and was converted from that day forward. So today I’m going to talk about my top three products, the ones I use all the time, twice a day, morning…

PIXI BEAUTY – SKINTREATS REVIEW

A beauty review? I mean lets not lie, it’s been a while! I adore beauty products, especially skincare but for some reason I just haven’t written about them on here…well that’s about to change! Today I wanted to write about a brand I started using around a year ago, I use both their skincare products as well as their makeup range, I’m talking of course about Pixi. Now obviously, I adore their makeup (especially their eyeshadow palettes) but today we are diving in and getting to grips with the Pixi Skintreats. They have fallen seamlessly in with my usual skincare regime and although I really do love each and every product, there are a few ‘hero products’ I really couldn’t live without. So I thought it was high time I shared my findings with you and hopefully you’ll discover some new must-try products along the way! So first up, cleanser. A few months back I was at a beauty conference when I heard the term ‘double cleansing’ for the first time. I mean, I barely have time to cleanse once, never mind twice. But I sat and I listened and actually, it totally made sense. When I saw Pixi had…

Spa Review : Beauty At The Gate

I‘ve been so excited to write this post. I love doing beauty reviews and this one is extra special because it’s about a spa in my very own home town of Grimsby. Beauty At The Gate was opened in December 2013 and has gone from strength to strength since the day it opened its doors. Offering a wide range of treatments from nails and massages to body wraps and waxing. The spa had been recommended to me several times by friends and family however it’s not just the locals that are raving about it, Beauty At The Gate was also a professional beauty award winner at the 2016 UK Salon of the year awards…. swanky eh?  I was invited for a special treat on my birthday a few weeks ago, to be pampered head to toe and treated like a real birthday princess! First up (after being welcomed by the lovely BATG team) I was introduced to my therapist for the day, Sophie.  Sophie was so friendly and the type of beauty therapist you see in the movies, like when Elle woods meets Paulette in Legally Blonde and they just hit it off straight away. This is exactly what happened,…

CHANEL : JOUES CONTRASTE POWDER BLUSH

Oh Chanel, how I adore you! Whenever I think luxury, I think Chanel. It’s a brand that I’ve grown up with, seeing my mum dab Chanel No.5 onto her wrists as a little girl, I couldn’t wait to be big enough to have my own (although I was once caught splashing it on my neck age seven…sorry mum!) My first ever taste of Chanel was a red lipstick my best friend Holly bought me for my 21st birthday and now in my mid twenties I’ve acquired quite the collection! Today I’m talking all about the gorgeous ‘Joues Contraste Powder Blush’ and in particular the shade – ‘Fleur de Lotus.’ It’s a peachy/pinky coral colour that gives my cheeks a lovely pop whenever applied and leaves a luminescent sheen to my skin. When applying you’ll need a light hand so to not go overboard and end up with clown cheeks! The brush however is super soft and helps to evenly distribute the powder providing perfect blend-ability. Now as with all Chanel beauty products, the packaging is classic and chic. A simple black compact with the signature double C gracing the front. It’s petite and fits perfectly into all of my handbags, with…
