Liz Earle – Skincare Review

A few weeks a go I delved back into the world of beauty after having quite a long break and you guys seemed to love it! The Pixi Skintreats review got so much love and it made me so happy! So seen as  beauty seems to be a popular topic I thought I’d get right back to it, this time reviewing one of my all time favourite skincare staples – Liz Earle. Now I’ve been using Liz Earle skincare for ages! Where as Pixi was a fairly recent discovery dear old Lizzy has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. The three step cleanse, tone and moisturise has become part and parcel of my morning routine and one I expect to be doing for the rest of my life. I was first introduced to Liz Earle by my best friends Mum, she got me the ‘try me’ kit for a birthday one year, a kit with miniatures of all the Liz Earle hero products. I tried them and was converted from that day forward. So today I’m going to talk about my top three products, the ones I use all the time, twice a day, morning and night. There are so many other great products in the Liz Earle range so I highly recommend looking at their website if you’re looking for something in particular.

A cleanser is arguably the most important step in any skincare regime. It allows you to give your pores a deep clean removing any dirt and pollution that may have hit your skin through out the day. The Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is probably Liz Earle’s most raved about (and award winning) product and believe me guys, it lives up to the hype! enriched with cocoa butter to soften, smooth and moisturise, and
rosemary, chamomile and eucalyptus to tone, soothe and purify. It’s suitable
for all skin types! The cleansing cream itself is rich and indulgent, deeply cleansing to
instantly remove daily grime, pollutants and make up. I’ve used this on a full face of makeup and even stubborn
mascara comes away which is amazing. My skin always feels exceptionally
clean each and every time I use it and gives my complexion the perfect boost. I always use the cleanser with the Liz Earle facial cloths which gently exfoliate, lifting away dead skin cells to reveal smoother, clearer and brighter-looking skin. Honestly if you only get one thing, get this – it’s a game changer!

Instructions for use –

  • Step 1: Massage onto dry skin over your face and neck, finishing over your eye area.
  • Step 2: Rinse the pure cotton cloth in hand-hot water and wring out before gently polishing off the cream.
  • Step 3: Finish by splashing your face with cool water.

Next up is the toner, for me a toner is a must as it lifts and gives my skin such a boost. I use a toner both in the morning pre make up and at night before bed. The Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic is excellent. It allows me to refresh, soothe and brighten the appearance of my skin. The scent (without being over bearing) is beautiful, a floral scent fragranced with an
uplifting blend of pure essential oils, including rose-scented geranium,
lavender and sweet orange. The toner is gentle and alcohol free (perfect for those with irritated, acne prone skin) and provides an instant boost of hydration leaving my skin looking radiant and healthy. Ingredients include aloe vera to hydrate,
calendula, chamomile and cucumber to soothe and refresh, plus
antioxidant vitamin E.

Instructions for use:

  • Step 1: Twist up cap. Pour a generous amount onto a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck.
  • Step 2: Allow to settle into skin before applying moisturiser.

Price: £15.50

The final step, the Skin Repair Moisturiser – I personally love to use moisturiser throughout the day, applying a light amount in the morning and afternoon and then lathering it on before bed allowing it to sink in whilst I sleep. I love when my skin feels properly moisturised and the Skin Repair always leaves it feeling bouncy and hydrated. It softens skin and protects against dryness for a naturally healthy-looking glow so on the days I decide to go make up free I know my skin is always looking fresh. Rich in naturally active skin-nourishing ingredients, including
avocado oil (rich in oleic acid), borage oil, echinacea, hops and the
natural source antioxidants beta-carotene and vitamin E, the non-greasy
formula instantly hydrates to leave skin feeling instantly soft and
smooth. I adore this moisturiser, it’s the perfect end to my dream trio of Liz Earle products.

Instruction for use:

  • Step 1: Gently massage the moisturiser onto face and neck, morning and evening.

Price: £21.00
