Sticking to what we know won't help us grow

It’s easy in life to stick to what we’re good at, what we know, where we feel most comfortable. But sometimes it’s when we take leap of faith, make a change and delve into the unknown that the magic truly happens.

With that said, I thought it high time I share a change I decided to make a few weeks ago. Apart from Snapchat (come say hey, search – ‘katewinney-) I’ve yet to post my news on any social media platform.

….I got a job!
Like a full-time, grown up, big girl job!
It’s a change I’d been pondering over for a long time. Don’t get me wrong, the flexibility of freelance work is great but the uncertainty that comes along with it, not so much.

I was desperately lacking structure in my life and so after putting my feelers out there and seeing what was avaailable out in the big wide working world, I managed to get an offer from my top choice – Yay!

So as of Monday 4th July 2016. I will be the new ‘communications associate’ at Huggle. My job role will include keeping the brands social media channels up to date, promoting the app to journalists and creating a database of bloggers and influencers to work along side as brand ambassadors.

Obviously as goes with any big change, I’m nervous but I’m also super excited to start a new chapter of my life. As my good friend said to me recently:
Change is good,
Change is scary,
But change is good.

So, I’m going to embrace it and see what happens. I’ll do a little update once I’m settled but I wanted to let all of you know so you can come along on this journey with me.

Wish me luck!
