Elizabeth Arden Makeup Review

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to receive these beautiful products from Elizabeth Arden. If I’m honest it’s not a brand I’ve used a lot in the past but as always with any new makeup, I couldn’t wait to try it out and well…. Elizabeth Arden has turned out to be a winner.
I’ve been using the products for the past couple of weeks and it’s quickly becoming my go-to brand for my everyday makeup looks and even makeup aside, the packaging itself is to die for! I’ve been taking it along with me in my handbag simply because it’s so pretty to look at!

Elizabeth Arden – Beautiful Colour Eye Shadow (Romance 22)
‘Rooted in NYC with more than 100 years of beauty expertise, Beautiful Color Eye Shadows were developed in shades that are trend driven and in a formula that is good for your skin. The outcome: smooth, crease-free shadows that combine long-lasting colour with luxurious skin care benefits. Vitamin enriched. Oil-FreOver the years, the most consistent requests we’ve heard from women seeking new eye shadows were that the colours be long-lasting, crease-free and smoothing. They also wanted a shadow that could help their eyes look better over time. Beautiful Color Eye Shadows deliver all this and more by combining long-wearing colour with long-term skin care benefits.’

Now truth be told I’ve never been a huge fan of pink eyeshadow. I often feel it leaves me looking like I’ve got dry eyes. Well I am happy to report…this one doesn’t, Hoorah! It actually looks really good, a perfect shimmery, neautral shadow shade for the spring. I apply it to my eyelid then finish off by dabbing a pearly white shadow on the inner corners and using a deeper shade to contour the eye crease to accentuate the look. The Shadow glides on without creasing and it has real staying power, which is a huge plus for me!

Elizabeth Arden – Grand Entrance Mascara (Stunning Black 01)
‘A spectacular breakthrough in lash technology sets the stage for triple-action performance. From the first stroke, increase volume, length and curl up to 80% with our innovative precision brush. No clumps, flakes or smudges in sight.’

I love discovering new mascaras! It’s the one thing that can lift your look and make you look awake instantly. This one is great for that much need length and volume boost and leaves my eyes looking wide open and much bigger. The colour is a really intense black with a nice shine which depending how much you apply can add to a dramatic night-time look. The brush itself is great  too, with three rows of alternating wedge-shaped discs and conical bristles it grabs every lash, helping to extend and separate.

Elizabeth Arden – Beautiful Colour Radiance Blush (Sweet Peach 02)
‘Beautiful Color fuses with care. Color-true, high-pigment powder sculpts and defines the appearance of cheeks for a natural, radiant glow. The buildable, long-lasting formula is enriched with vitamins and antioxidants to help soothe and protect skin. Optical diffusers instantly blur the look of fine lines. Oil-free.’

I think blushed cheeks in the spring is super cute. I always tend to go for a peachy colour as it compliments my pale complexion. This one is a dream! It blends so well and glides onto the cheeks with ease. leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth whilst brightening up my face. I always opt for a natural flush and apply to the apples of my cheeks blending up toward the temples.

Elizabeth Arden – Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24hr (Beige 09)
‘Elizabeth Arden presents the new Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24HR Make Up. Offering the skin a medium to full coverage of colour-true make up that will last for 24 hours, the foundation will give you the soft matte look you desire, withstanding external environmental factors such as heat, humidity and moisture. The SPF 15 formula protects your from UVA and UVB damage whilst vitamin E, which is rich in antioxidants, helps to shield the skin from any other environmental aggressors.

Sadly the shade sent was just wayyyyyy to dark for my skin, however like a true sport I applied it (in my room where no one could see) to see how it felt. Colour match aside, the actual formula was brilliant. It felt really refreshing upon application and made my skin feel so silky. For me the SPF element is a must as I burn just looking at the sun! So when I get the right shade I know it’ll be a winner.

So there we have it, a run down of all my treats sent from the lovely team at Elizabeth Arden, go try them out and let me know what your favourites are and if there’s anything else I should try out!
