What do you do at 2am in the morning when you're wide awake and can't sleep?...ASOS!
I swear the majority of my online orders take place in the early hours, for some reason the buzz of clicking that 'pay now' button puts my mind at ease and I fall asleep happily dreaming of my latest purchases. Basically, online shopping and in this case ASOS has become my equivalent to Night Nurse.

My latest haul (and trust me it was a big one) included this gorgeous faux fur scarf and these super comfy leopard print pumps. For me pieces like this are a God send. They can spice up any outfit by adding a pop of colour and a bit of texture. The multicolored faux fur allows me to (finally) remove my winter coat and adds that little bit of extra warmth over my leather jacket and as for the shoes, well leopard print just make me happy OK?!

Made any last night/ early morning purchases lately? Let me know in the comments below!

Easter Treats With Divine Chocolate

Oh Easter, how I adore you. A four day weekend and the excuse to eat as much chocolate as humanly possible and as a self confessed chocoholic that literally means chocolate is eaten for breakfast, dinner and tea! This year I'm heading home back to Grimsby to spend it with my Mum and so I wanted to get her something yummy to tuck into come Easter Sunday. Now as a family we've always gone a bit overboard with Easter and end up buying an obscene amount of chocolate of all different shapes, sizes and flavours. This year though, I've decided less is more (although it's still quite a lot) and quality over quantity. I wanted to buy some really good chocolate, so off I popped to Divine to see what they had to offer. I was lucky enough to receive a hamper of treats courtesy of Divine prior to making my decision, so whilst looking to see what my Mum might like I had a chocolate feast for one...obvs.

Divine is the only Fairtrade chocolate company which is 44% owned by cocoa farmers. While Fairtrade ensures farmers receive a better deal for their cocoa and additional income to invest in their community, company ownership gives farmers a share of Divine’s profits and a stronger voice in the cocoa industry. In autumn 1998, Divine, the first ever farmer-owned Fairtrade chocolate bar aimed at the mass market was launched onto the UK confectionery market. In an exciting new business model, the co-operative of cocoa farmers in Ghana own shares in the company making the chocolate bar.

Divine Dark Chocolate With Almonds & Raisins
'Dark rich velvety chocolate with chopped almonds and juicy raisins.'Now I don't often opt for dark chocolate, I'm not sure why as I do like it but usually milk or white chocolate just ends up being the winner. This bar is actually really good, sometimes I find dark chocolate a tad to bitter for my tastes but this one is just right. The raisins and almonds both chopped add a nice crunch and tang to the bar. I won't lie, I practically inhaled it then had to stop myself from finishing it to quickly take some photographs. A definite for any dark chocolate lover or if like me it wouldn't be your usual choice its worth a try, I been covered!

Divine Mini Milk Eggs
'Divine Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs, a must for Easter egg hunts or perfect for sharing with friends.'

These milk chocolate solid eggs didn't last long I tell ya! They are so moreish its unreal. They're a brilliant addition to any easter gift and as far as no-frills milk chocolate goes, this one's a favourite. The milk chocolate melts in your mouth and they are just the right size. They also look super cute wrapped in their golden foil...love!
Divine Rasberry Dark Chocolate Egg
'A thick chocolate shell made with velvety rich Divine dark chocolate, studded with tangy raspberries.'

Another dark chocolate combo however this time with added raspberries. It's a great combination with the raspberries adding a touch of sour to the bitter dark chocolate. I don't know why but in general I find I always enjoy chocolate more when its in the form of an Easter egg, call me crazy but its true! The chunks of raspberries in this one are small and evenly dispersed throughout the egg, it made for a very tasty treat and got a big thumbs up from me.

Divine Toffee & Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Egg
'A creamy milk chocolate shell studded with the sweet crunch of toffee pieces and the contrasting tang of sea salt flakes.'

All hail and bow down....this was by far my favourite of the chocolates sent. Just writing about it I'm drooling. The milk chocolate mixed in with sweetness of the toffee and then that salty crunch on top of that gahhh...it truly is divine! Go....go now, buy one and experience true chocolatey bliss.

Do you have a favourite Easter treat? If you have any choccie recommendations - I wanna know, so either leave me a comment here or find me on social media!

Elizabeth Arden Makeup Review

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to receive these beautiful products from Elizabeth Arden. If I'm honest it's not a brand I've used a lot in the past but as always with any new makeup, I couldn't wait to try it out and well.... Elizabeth Arden has turned out to be a winner.
I've been using the products for the past couple of weeks and it's quickly becoming my go-to brand for my everyday makeup looks and even makeup aside, the packaging itself is to die for! I've been taking it along with me in my handbag simply because it's so pretty to look at!
Elizabeth Arden - Beautiful Colour Eye Shadow (Romance 22)
'Rooted in NYC with more than 100 years of beauty expertise, Beautiful Color Eye Shadows were developed in shades that are trend driven and in a formula that is good for your skin. The outcome: smooth, crease-free shadows that combine long-lasting colour with luxurious skin care benefits. Vitamin enriched. Oil-FreOver the years, the most consistent requests we’ve heard from women seeking new eye shadows were that the colours be long-lasting, crease-free and smoothing. They also wanted a shadow that could help their eyes look better over time. Beautiful Color Eye Shadows deliver all this and more by combining long-wearing colour with long-term skin care benefits.'

Now truth be told I've never been a huge fan of pink eyeshadow. I often feel it leaves me looking like I've got dry eyes. Well I am happy to report...this one doesn't, Hoorah! It actually looks really good, a perfect shimmery, neautral shadow shade for the spring. I apply it to my eyelid then finish off by dabbing a pearly white shadow on the inner corners and using a deeper shade to contour the eye crease to accentuate the look. The Shadow glides on without creasing and it has real staying power, which is a huge plus for me!

Elizabeth Arden - Grand Entrance Mascara (Stunning Black 01)
'A spectacular breakthrough in lash technology sets the stage for triple-action performance. From the first stroke, increase volume, length and curl up to 80% with our innovative precision brush. No clumps, flakes or smudges in sight.'

I love discovering new mascaras! It's the one thing that can lift your look and make you look awake instantly. This one is great for that much need length and volume boost and leaves my eyes looking wide open and much bigger. The colour is a really intense black with a nice shine which depending how much you apply can add to a dramatic night-time look. The brush itself is great  too, with three rows of alternating wedge-shaped discs and conical bristles it grabs every lash, helping to extend and separate.
Elizabeth Arden - Beautiful Colour Radiance Blush (Sweet Peach 02)
'Beautiful Color fuses with care. Color-true, high-pigment powder sculpts and defines the appearance of cheeks for a natural, radiant glow. The buildable, long-lasting formula is enriched with vitamins and antioxidants to help soothe and protect skin. Optical diffusers instantly blur the look of fine lines. Oil-free.'

I think blushed cheeks in the spring is super cute. I always tend to go for a peachy colour as it compliments my pale complexion. This one is a dream! It blends so well and glides onto the cheeks with ease. leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth whilst brightening up my face. I always opt for a natural flush and apply to the apples of my cheeks blending up toward the temples.
Elizabeth Arden - Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24hr (Beige 09)
'Elizabeth Arden presents the new Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24HR Make Up. Offering the skin a medium to full coverage of colour-true make up that will last for 24 hours, the foundation will give you the soft matte look you desire, withstanding external environmental factors such as heat, humidity and moisture. The SPF 15 formula protects your from UVA and UVB damage whilst vitamin E, which is rich in antioxidants, helps to shield the skin from any other environmental aggressors.

Sadly the shade sent was just wayyyyyy to dark for my skin, however like a true sport I applied it (in my room where no one could see) to see how it felt. Colour match aside, the actual formula was brilliant. It felt really refreshing upon application and made my skin feel so silky. For me the SPF element is a must as I burn just looking at the sun! So when I get the right shade I know it'll be a winner.

So there we have it, a run down of all my treats sent from the lovely team at Elizabeth Arden, go try them out and let me know what your favourites are and if there's anything else I should try out!

Laced Up Loving

 Boots c/o - JustFab, Jacket c/o - Twist&Tango, Culottes c/o - boohoo, Silver Ring - Daniella Draper
Photography By - Jide JJ Smith

Well here I am, laced up to the nines.
Now I won't lie, having seen these boots making a regular appearance on my Instagram feed, it's not a trend I thought I'd catch onto. But when sent this gorgeous pair from JustFab I thought I'd give it a go and... I actually really like the finished look. I'm not quite ready to style them up with my beloved mini skirts just yet but these culottes from boohoo provided the perfect alternative.

A fairly simple outfit wearing this beautiful patterned olive coat from Twist and Tango, the boots add a bit of drama and detail and if you're gonna wear boots like these, I say let them do the talking!

What's In My Makeup Bag?...

Pucker up kids and blow a big kiss to my new LuLu Guinness makeup bag!
A present from my best friend Holly for my birthday I was chuffed when I opened it. I've always been a big LuLu Guinness fan and as I'm rarely seen without red lippy, it was the perfect gift...bravo Holly! So, I wanted to do a little post about some new makeup products I've been using recently and of course have an excuse to take pretty pictures of that sparking red pout.....mwah!
So first up the Make Up For Ever 'Rouge Artist Intense' lipstick in shade 34. Now you know me, I'm a girl that loves a lippy and this one has to be a new favourite. Great coverage and amazing texture. I find it really moisturises my lips and keeps them feeling hydrated. The colour is thick and stays on without having to reapply for a good 2-3 hours.
Next up yet another present from Holly (yep she's a really good best friend) this time for Christmas, I got a beautiful Kate Spade hand mirror. engraved 'darling' its just so cute and now goes with me everywhere.
It's no secret I'm a lover of Chanel, I've written about some of the gorgeous makeup before (see here.) The makeup itself is beautiful and the packaging is simply chic. I take my Chanel blush and les beiges powder with me most days, the blush to add bit of colour to my pale cheeks and the powder to even out my skin tone and to get rid of any unwanted shine.

Make-up Atelier Paris is another new brand for me and I've taken a huge shine to the eye makeup range. The 'Starlight' is a pot of very fine sparkling powder which I choose to dab into the corners of my eyes sweeping up across my brow line to give a little pop when going out for a drink or a dance. Make-up Atelier is a multi-ethnic brand and takes great pride in being able to provide a wide range of cruelty free products to men & women of all shades and colors. Sporting over 50 shades of foundations and 20 shades of concealers and loose powders, I can't wait to try out some more of their makeup very soon!
Back to Make Up For Ever and onto some of there pens and pencils. The 'Aqua Lip' in shade 8C is a waterproof lipliner pencil that really sticks. Absolutely no bleeding and it's a really gorgeous colour. The 'Aqua Liner' in shade 1 is something for the party, a waterproof high precision eyeliner in gold....It's real snazzy!
These brushes from L.A.B2 are two of a much larger collection but the two i use most. The 'Strokes of genius crease brush' and the 'Strokes of genius brow and lash groomer.' A really slick design makes them fit perfectly into my small makeup bag and I've found whilst using the brow and lash groomer brush, my lashes look more defined and my brow more uniformed.
So there we have it a little update and sneak-peek to whats currently in my makeup bag....the prettiest makeup bag around that is!

Do you have any new beauty buys I should try? Let me know!
