Monday morning the alarm is buzzing, after pressing the snooze button for the third time you decide it's time to drag yourself out of bed, stand yourself under the shower and slowly wake up to the smell of coffee.
Yes Mondays are never going to be my favourite day of the week, however this week I have somewhat of a spring in my step. Why you ask? Well let me tell you...

ASOS own brand work-wear. Yup, I gotta new outfit and I couldn't wait to put it on! Having a day full of meetings and appointments is something I usually dread but not today! Nope, today I'm feeling all kindsa chic and sophisticated.

For this work-wear look I paired this amazing jumpsuit (which on its own with heels also looks great for a night at the cocktail bar) with a crisp, white tie-detail shirt. The jumpsuit itself is super flattering, beautifully tailored with the tied middle nicely accentuating the waist. The shirt adds a nod of formality making it a perfect outfit for any working woman. Add a pair of block heeled shoes and you're good to go.

Gothic Chic - A runway dominated by black satin and lace with flashes of burnt orange gave a daring twist to this heritage brand. High collars and floor length gowns led to a dramatic showing of their latest collection.

Dominant Details - The Holly Fulton show is always one I look forward to and this season did not disappoint. Inspired by British surrealist artist David Inshaw the collection was full  of intricately detailed pieces with a strong pattern seen throughout.

Stylish Sensibility - A much more pulled back style was seen from the Canadian born London designer this season. Simple clean lines created a classic classy look. Less is more making each piece from the collection extremely wearable. Another stella performance from Ms Edeline Lee.

Punked Up Pastels - The London based street wear designers kicked off fashion week with a badass presentation showcasing their latest AW16 range. Customised Dr Martins and neon hair sent a clear message - 'Punk is not dead' and it's clearly to trend set to takeover this year.

It's that time of year again, when the madness starts all over...London Fashion Week has landed! Arguably one of the biggest fashion events in the world, LFW is taking over soho today until Tuesday.

Quite literally the heart of London is consumed with fashionistas, photographers, designers, stylists (the list goes on). The five days are jam-packed, cramming every show, presentation and pop-up into the week. It's non-stop, which is why preparation is essential. Like body builders might food prep the week before a competition, fashionistas need to prep before fashion week.

For me (outfit planning aside) the handbag prep is the one you just have to get right. Think snacks, hydration, touch-ups  and tech. As a blogger I want to create some great content while watching the runway shows and going backstage, so for me my camera, phone, tablet....all my devices have to be fully charged and easy to locate. Of course as you all are aware batteries tend to drain very quickly so I always make sure to have a portable battery pack for any emergencies.

Another biggie for me is to eat well and drink lots. Whether a blogger, model, buyer, press-whatever, this one is imperative to survive LFW. I make sure to carry a few small snacks from Pulsin and beond, both brands a fashion week favourite. When I'm needing that mid-day chocolate fix the Pulsin 'Raspberry and Goji Raw Chocolate Brownie' is the one! Zingy berries and raw cacao is a combination made in heaven, bursting with flavour. It's full of goodness - It's vegan, it's raw, gluten free, soya free, dairy free....guilt free! The beond 'Organic Blueberry Bar' is what I turn to for a power pick-me-up. High in vitamin C and immune boosting antioxidants it keeps me happy and healthy.

For hydration I turn to teapigs. Having been introduced by a friend last fashion week, It fast became my go-to drink. I don't like hot drinks so for me it's the 'Matcha Green Tea' that keeps me going, I've tried all the flavours (the apple is my favourite)...I'm obsessed! The 'Matcha' ingredient is a super-concentrated green tea powder that’s packed with antioxidants and nutrients. I even keep a stash of the 'Match On The Go' sachets to keep my energy up, you just add to water and SHAKE!

Along with a notebook, Tangle Teezer, hand sanitiser and card holder, we have my LFW handbag essentials. It's going to be a busy few days but I can't wait to get stuck in. See you on the other side!

Home Sweet Home : A trip to the seaside

Growing up by the seaside is something I took for granted. The summers spent flying kites, building sandcastles and going for paddles in the sea, I thought was the norm.
The summer of 2006, a teen, just leaving school - spending everyday there with friends, a summer I'll never forget.
It was a summer of pure happiness. My friends and I were all at that age were we really didn't have a care in the world. 16, before college, before A-levels, before rent and bills. We met at the beach most days that summer, had wild parties, discovered so much about ourselves and each other, creating a bond that would last a lifetime. We were carefree and full of hope, it was a picture perfect summer that I'll always look back on with a big smile and a happy heart.
It wasn't until I moved to London and met people who had grown up in the city that I realised how good I had it. Cleethorpes may not be St.Tropez but its my home town and I love it!
On a cold yet clear winters day, there's nothing better than taking a walk along the promenade, leading down to the beach. The fresh sea air, the sound of the waves, it's bliss.

Among the fair ground rides and 2p slot machines, you see the beaming faces of children and adults alike, dreaming of winning big or of finally catching that giant Teddy Bear.
Now, Cleethorpes and Grimsby are known for their fish and chips...we even have a museum about it don't ya know! And as someone who has practically grown up on them, the rumours are true - you won't find better!

So there you have it, my home sweet home. I wish I could visit more!
