Pandora - Unforgettable Moments

On Wednesday 28th January 2015 I was invited to Pandora's afternoon tea and pampering at Bumpkin in South Kensington to celebrate the launch of Pandora's new British Heart Foundation charm. Hosted by T.V presenter Laura Whitmore the day was a delight!
The Bumpkin, a quaint little restaurant hidden deep within South Kensington. The upstairs function room had been taken over and turned into a cottage-like scene. The flowers, red roses and peonies filled the room with a delicious scent and at each corner where pamper stations. Nail art, lipstick, champagne, everything a girl could wish for.

YSL Loves Your Lips

Pop water.
Tint-In-Oil.
Rouge Pur Couture.
The three newcomers to hit the YSL Beauté scene. A nourishing lip oil, a glossy stain and a pure colour lipstick, a perfect combination for this makeup celebration! Team a hip East-London venue, a handful of fashions elite and of course makeup to die for and you get the 'YSL Loves your Lips' party.
The setting - The Old Trueman Brewery on Brick Lane, a converted warehouse was decked up YSL style. Outside the paparazzi waited patiently for the woman of the hour and new face of the YSL Beauté range, Miss Cara Delevigne. Other guests included designer Henry Holland and pop princess Pixie Lott. I attended with my friend and BBC 1xtra presenter Yasmin Evans.
Whilst sipping on cocktails you could make a stop at the YSL beauty bar. A sanctuary armed with five of the top makeup artists in London. Wearing the high-tech Google glasses they receded their transformation taking a before and after shot as well as recording throughout (watch here - http://youtu.be/nEKi2p8jqRo) Yasmin and I (both lipstick lovers) went for the new rouge Pur couture collection. I opted for the 1- Le rouge and Yaz for the 7- Le fuchsia.

Black & Gold

There's something about gold, it fascinates me. I'm not sure why. I think it stems from childhood, the stories of glamorous kings and queens, pots of gold at the end of a rainbow. I'm not sure but something about it still makes it magical to me even now I'm in my 20's. I'm not a huge wearer of jewellery, the pieces I have are all carefully picked and treasured (other than the odd bit of costume jewellery here and there.) I had done quite well with my silver collection having ticked off the main items I'd wanted and finally this Christmas my black and gold phase came to fruition. I had been eyeing the black and gold Larsson&Jennings watch for quite a while having seen it numerous times in Vogue and Glamour magazine (my monthly subscriptions) so I decided to bite the bullet and buy it! It's a stunning watch, simplicity at its best and a real classic. Nothing too fussy, no big dials, just a beautiful time piece. I had never really worn a watch before, I had a little mermaid one when I was ten, it smashed, I was devastated and I think that left me scarred! But now I've finally moved on and purchased the LJ I feel completely naked without it! They have got an amazing collection and have just opened their flagship store in Covent Garden, London. It's a lovely little shop and you can even have a freshly brewed coffee whilst perusing the watches.

So I had the watch, next up was a bracelet. I had looked in a few shops and mentioned a few brands to my mum who was asking about potential Christmas presents. I think I mentioned how much I loved Monica Vinader jewellery once in a fleeting conversation. I swear she never misses a trick because on Christmas Day as I opened my presents, there it was!!!!!! The Monica Vinader Fiji bracelet, gold with black thread wrapped in Monica Vinaders gorgeous packaging. It was a complete surprise, I was really happy and it goes perfect with my watch. Each of the Fiji bracelets come with a different colour thread, all having different meanings : Black = Energy. Also as a part of the Monica Vinader service you can engrave your jewellery in store. So as soon as I arrived back in London I popped into their Bond Street store and it was done there and then!
So there we are, my current black and gold moment is down to these two gorgeous pieces. Now I'm on the hunt for the perfect necklace! Suggestions welcome!

The 72nd Golden Globes Awards

A Sunday night in Los Angeles, the first big night on the Hollywood a-lister calendar. The 72nd Golden Globe Awards. The night that sets not only the trends but opens our eyes to which actors are the ones to watch for the award season. The stars outdid themselves this year, draped in designers such as Gucci, Chanel and Miu Miu. I've picked my stand-outs of the evening (it was tough!) dresses that made me smile from ear to ear, but also made me green with envy. Take a look and pick your favourite!

-Amal Alamuddin-
Ah, everything about this sleek Dior gown screams Old Hollywood glamour and I adore it! The white opera gloves the diamond drop earrings, everything just fits perfectly together. A* to Mrs George Clooney.

-Dakota Johnson-
Looking chic and cool wearing this Chanel haute-couture dress. Simple accessories and flowing hair keeps this striking look stay fresh and youthful.

-Anna kendrick-
It's a princess dress! This red and nude beaded number by Monique Lhullie sets Anna apart from the rest looking so regal!

-Julia Goldani Telles-
Wow. So this is my absolute favourite dress of the night! I'm in love with this stunning Carmen Marc valvo gown.  The colour, the cut, everything is perfect. Snaps all round!

Chopped!

So I took the plunge and got the chop!
A whole 7 inches cut off my hair and I love it! I went for a long bob, stylish yet low maintenance (just how I like it.) Being inspired by Olivia Palermo's gorgeous mane I decided it was time and went along to Stephen's Hair Salon back home in Grimsby and let my stylist (and the only person allowed to touch my hair) Stephen Campbell work his magic! He didn't disappoint (he never does) I am over the moon with the final result, it's exactly what I needed to put a spring in my step for the new year!
